North East

Covering Northumberland, County Durham, Tyne and Wear, and the Tees Valley, the North East is the place British history changed forever when the Vikings invaded in 793AD. Home to ancient castles, Roman forts and some of best stargazing spots in the UK, thanks to the darkest skies in England, the North East is full of undiscovered Hidden Gems, waiting for you to find them.

We’ve collated the top five North East Hidden Gems submitted by Pork Farms fans and tourist boards, now you have to go and find them yourselves to be in with a chance of winning Pork Farms vouchers.

How to use your Shortlist:

First off, download and print out the bucket list of our top five Hidden Gems here by clicking the link below.

Then, we want you to pack up a picnic (don’t forget your Pork Farms goodies!) and spend the Summer discovering each Hidden Gem on the list, and what better way to spend time with your loved ones than getting out and about in the fresh air?

When you visit each place, be sure to take a picture of you there to be in with a chance of winning Pork Farms vouchers. When your bucket list is complete, submit all of your photos via social media using #HiddenGems

And once you’ve visited all the places on your Shortlist, don’t forget to vote for your favourite to help its chances of being named Britain’s Best Hidden Gem.
