We at Pork Farms are always proud of one of our own, and Louis Johnson is no exception. After receiving a Pork Farms Pop Up Party for his determined charity work last year at the age of just eight, Louis has now gone on to yet another triumph, being awarded the British Citizens Award.
Last year, we decided to take the advice of two thirds of UK adults who believed that unplanned occasions created the most unforgettable memories. To make this a little more special, we decided to celebrate Britain’s unsung heroes with their very own surprise Pop Up Party! To do this we asked you, the great British people, to nominate friends, family, and people who you truly believed deserved to be celebrated for their pure selflessness. Louis was one of those very special community heroes.
Unlike many children of his age, Louis has spent a great deal of his time raising money for various charities, with his determination growing each year. Since his partying days with us, Louis has gone on to raise over £5000 for Compton House, a charity which helped to take care of his Nan during her illness. Louis also managed to smash his personal target of raising £1000 for 2016 by April, quite the achievement for someone of his age!
Speaking about his wonderful day at the Palace Of Westminster, his mother, Teresa Johnson said; “It was an amazing day seeing the sights of London and watching Louis get his special medal before he took part in a lap of honour tour with fellow recipients.
“Louis loved it so much and we are all so proud. I’m still so emotional with pride for my son.”
So are we and on behalf of the Pork Farms family we want to say a massive congratulations to Louis Johnson, whose immense achievements keep on blowing us away, keep on shining like the star we know you are!
