After a well-fought battle at the grand final we’ve crowned a new board games champion for 2017, Harry Rush.
The Pork Farms team headed back to Kent in a bid to find our new title holder during the last leg of our Board Games Championships. Players put their gaming skills to the test over five games including Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit 2000s and Jenga during National Board Games Week.
After a day of intense play and fierce gaming tactics, we announced our new champion Harry Rush from Admiral’s Arm in Queensborough as our highest scorer of the day. Harry received an exclusive trophy made completely of pork pies, a stack of board games and a framed certificate to honour the triumph.
New board games champion Harry, said: “To be named Board Games Champion of 2017, it’s like a dream come true! I’ve had a great time getting here, playing the heats with my friends and practicing all the way to becoming a finalist.
“Being at One Inn The Wood has been brilliant, you couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere and the players brought some brilliant skills to the table, so it’s great to walk away with the win!”
